1. General

SSPC aims to be fair and transparent in relation to cancellations, refunds and rescheduling. This policy applies to memberships, bookings, coaching, events, tournaments and selected digital services – unless a specific event or campaign states otherwise.

South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act gives consumers certain protections around fair treatment, plain-language notices and remedies in appropriate cases, including refunds in certain circumstances involving defective, unsafe, misrepresented or unavailable goods or services.

2. Membership Fees

Monthly or recurring membership fees are generally non-refundable once billed, unless:

  • You were billed in error
  • SSPC is unable to provide the relevant membership service for an extended period
  • Refund is required by law

If you wish to cancel a recurring membership, cancellation will take effect from the next billing cycle unless otherwise stated. Cancellation is possible by contacting our team only.

3. Booking Cancellations

For standard club bookings, social sessions, or coaching bookings:

  • Cancellations made 48 hours in advance may qualify for a credit, reschedule, or refund
  • Cancellations made after that period may be non-refundable
  • No-shows are generally non-refundable
4. Event and Tournament Entries

Tournament and event entries may be refundable only up to a stated deadline. After that point, SSPC may retain all or part of the fee to cover venue, scheduling, administration, staffing or partner commitments.

Where possible, SSPC may offer:

  • a credit toward a future event
  • a transfer to another participant
  • a partial refund

This is dependent on the event rules.

5. Rescheduling by SSPC

If SSPC cancels or reschedules an event, booking or session due to weather, venue issues, operational reasons, safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances, we may offer one of the following:

  • a rescheduled booking
  • a club credit
  • Transfer to another session or event
  • a refund, where appropriate
6. Digital Membership and Online Services

Digital memberships, online coaching content or downloadable resources may be non-refundable once access has been granted, unless required by law or where access was not provided as promised.

7. Errors and Duplicate Payments

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or paid twice, please contact SSPC with proof of payment. Verified billing errors will be corrected as soon as reasonably possible.

8. Defective or Incomplete Service

If you believe a service was not delivered as described or was materially incomplete, please contact SSPC promptly so that we can review the issue and consider a suitable remedy, which may include a rebooking, club credit, partial refund or other fair resolution. The CPA provides consumer protections against unfair conduct and supports remedies in appropriate cases.

  • Your full name
  • Booking or membership reference
  • Proof of payment
  • Reason for the request
  • Date of booking or event
10. Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days, depending on the payment method and banking timelines.
